The Heel Roam 350 Remote works with all Heel collars. The Remote is not waterproof so avoid water exposure.
The Multi-Dog version of the remote has color-coded buttons to allow you to send manual correction to collars with color matched straps (color matching straps sold separately).
We bought 5 acres in the woods that has a creek in the back. I wanted a device that I could set a large parameter at camp, but also use it were walking. It also could not be reliant on cell, or internet service. This was perfect! He is already trained on an e-collar so training him on this was simple. Now, I can just let him out of the camper, or set a parameter around me on a walk, and we both enjoy nature! I only have a couple of negatives. One is the size of the box on the collar. I have a beagle and it is larger than I thought it would be, however, I did not take off any stars because he does not seem bothered. I also wish the distances were marked on the hand held device. I did not take any stars off for this either because I will learn them, but it would just make it easier for new owners. Overall, excellent product and highly recommend!
Best purchase we’ve ever made for our dogs! We live in the mountains of Colorado and like to take our dogs hiking off leash. They are ACTIVE English Setters and were a challenge to keep track of. Now, instead of us looking for them, they are looking for us! I love that we can change the perimeter depending on the terrain, bigger for open fields and smaller for wooded areas. They are very responsive to the levels of correction and customer service is great. Great job!
While we have some upcoming adventures where Heel will come in handy, we've mostly been using it around our property. We have a large garden and Russ would constantly get his long lead wrapped around and tangled up corn stalks, flower pots, benches and bushes, you name it. We are also right next to a cemetery with a large open field behind it. When no one is there, we can now let Russ roam a bit across the property line with the 75 ft setting. When people are there, I knock out back down to 10 ft so he'll stay right by me.
Very happy. The HEEL Roam 350 exceeded my expectations. After easy pair check and full charge we went to a nearby field and worked on training. He caught on very quickly. Important we started without any shock. We have 17 acres and live next to a land trust property. I hike 4 miles a day with two dogs 5 and 9 off leash. The 5 yr. old Aussie likes to stay close and has a firm recall. The Roam 350 was made for the 9 year old Blue Heeler, Cattle Dog mix. He likes to go off for minutes at a time into the woods and bark it up. The Roam 350 allows him plenty of room to explore and in Autoprox gently reminds him to return. The Roam 350 actually took some…. where the heck are you anxiety away for a more relaxing hike together. Love it!

Best training tool - Awesome Customer Service.
While Ayla sits back to eat her 1yr birthday bone, I should take a second to share how invaluable this training collar/leash combo is. Ayla is training as a medical dog and the ability to train her without a tethered leash is phenomenal. I can restrict how far she can roam, regardless of where I am, compared to other "invisible" options. In addition - where the bar is raised, is with the customer service. Whether its troubleshooting or warranty issues, they are extremely quick to help. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
Meet Maggie. Maggie is a 50 lb pit mix who is my favorite running partner. In this picture you can see the collar is above her normal collar. Don't do this. We managed to destroy two collars as they beat themselves to death against her tags. Both times were failures in the button pads. Both collars were replaced under warranty (that's amazing). The third collar showed up with a dead battery. That one was also replaced. When I put the collar on her I makes sure it's below her normal collar and I'm hoping that prevents any future problems.
As for the function. It's amazing. Her recall is light years better both with the collar and without. She loves heading out for walks, runs, and hikes using the collar because it makes it so much easier to tell when she's getting to far away. She almost always corrects on the just the beep. The vibration causes a recall even if there is a rabbit involved. The one time I had to use a shock correction, it was a deer and I can honestly say she's faster than a deer in a straight line.
I love the hands free nature on the run. She can stop to sniff the bushes, run ahead to sniff at ground squirrel burrows and I get to run at my normal pace. It's been a game changer for us.
Works well on walks to bring my pup back to me without the static shock even being turned on. I reinforced it with treats in the beginning but now he comes back in without any reward but a "good boy".
This is what I’ve been dreaming about! A device where I am the center and my dog has to keep close, but have the freedom to wonder. Heel is a dream come true. Now I can walk my dog off leash in our woods without the worry that he will take off when he catches the sent of a deer or bear. He’s a good boy and stays close and comes when called, but if he gets the sent, he’s gone and nothing, but Heel has keep him within a boundary to me. Heel has granted me and my dog freedom as we walk - I can think and daydream and he can walk around and sniff and if he goes too far away, he gets a warning and I call him and he comes to me. My walks are a joy and not a chore, I’m relaxed and not stressed because the Heel system is more consistent than I am at administering a warning and correction… and it’s better than having to walk him on leash in our woods. It’s the Best!
I adopted Cricket from a former co-worked that couldn't handle her and said she kept running off. I brought her home and ordered the Heel Collar and it has worked flawlessly to keep
Cricket within a perimiter and safe. The video is from private land and she really loves running with the atv for exercise.
My dog and I love to hike. The heel collar helps provide security in helping keep her close, but giving her the space she needs to roam and explore everything there is to explore in the woods. Glad to have the waterproof version now, because she also loves the water!
since our Golden was already trained on an e collar it was a simple transition to the Heel collar. I've been using it for skateboard rides and mountain bike rides and love it's simple set up and use.
My girl, Stormi, responds very well to Heel. Primary reason for purchasing your product was for the "Portable Invisible Fence" feature. I am an Over the road Truck Driver and my body does not move like it used too, so it is great to be able to let her run around in a big field with me having the confidence to allow her to do so. THANKS!
Before the Heel collar i was using multiple techniques and devices and having to divide my time and energy when trying to experience the outdoors and make sure the boys are given the space to be wild and enjoy themselves as well. Either the collar we can both get so much more from our experiences! They were already E collar trained and had a decent recall before but this gives me the extra confidence and assurance when in wild places to let them do their thing.
I have been using an e-collar for many years and this is by far my favorite. Not only is my dog more responsive with this beep rather than others, the radius feature is great for adventures and even without a fenced-in yard. I am a huge fan of this set up - perfect for our outdoor, Colorado lifestyle.
Allowed her to have freedom while being safe. Love this product!
The Remote NEEDS a lock range option. It kept switching ranges as it bounced against my chest. This caused her to freak out, not knowing what her range allowance was.
Also a belt clip.
Waterproof option would be great, dogs jump in on hikes…
Collar is large, would love a downsize if possible…
Overall very happy though!
We bought this after looking at a million different options. Our pup snuck off for adventures, she now stays close. Has room to roam. And listens well. Best purchase made this year! I have recommended others. Enjoy being outside with you pups without them leaving the yard.
We’ve been using this with my Pyranees Aussie cross for about three weeks now! We absolutely love it! As a homesteader, we’ve got plenty of projects and my mind has a tends to wander, with HEEL and the roam settings both my dog and I get feed back, pulling us to the present and allowing us to check in with each other. I love that I can wear the remote lanyard cross body so Gene can enjoy doing chores with me and have my hands free to push a wheel barrow or carry a bucket of feed out to the chickens and sheep. Win win for everyone. Giving Gene the safe roaming experience she deserves as an independent thinking breed, and me the awareness I need while multi-tasking.
For me the size of the collar is perfect as Gene is a larger breed, but I did hesitate to recommend for my friends & their corgi as it is bulkier, but I like that Gene is aware of the collar while wearing it, I think it helps her mindset. Thankfully Gene is adverse to water, so the issues others have with this unit not being submersible do not apply to me. I think it’s a great tool to build mutual respect and safe boundaries for your pups in wide open spaces.
Kira loves to walk and hike off-leash, as she explores and sniffs. She also joins us on horseback rides. Heel 350 allows me to not worry if Kira has run off chasing rabbits and gives me the ability to correct poor behavior. She learned quickly (with just tone and vibration) to "come to me" when she reaches the end of her virtual leash. She has also learned to sit and stay whenever I say "Kira Car". This picture is of Kira waiting for the UPS truck to pass while out on a walk (UPS has the best dog treats!).
I purchased your product because my 7yr yellow lab Val goes everywhere I go all the time. I love the collar and remote, having all of these features and benefits to keep control over her is awesome!
I love the technology and long battery life.
Extremely disappointed you made a product for dogs that’s not waterproof!!!
She had it on for 5 min and ran into a creek while we were hiking, the collar did dry out eventually and worked again, however I’m not sure it can withstand repeated contact with water, when it does get wet it quits working.
Silly to be only water resistant.
Most outdoor dogs enjoy water.
Store owner replied:
Hi Jay! Thanks for the feedback and photo of your pretty pup! We know the importance of the waterproof feature and are planning to release a fully submersible collar in the future. The current collar will resist all types of water exposure other than full submersion. Rain, splashing or rolling in puddles or streams, or washing off with a hose is totally fine though!
This has been the best collar for our pup. We are in the Daniel Boone Forest and it let's him explore some without us right by his side. Works great when we hike. Customer service is 100 percent. Thanks heel for making our life a little less stressed!
We got the Roam for our 9 month old English Springer Spaniel. She went through collar training at 6 months old so she does understand being off leash on walks and doesn't wander too far unless an animal catches her attention but a quick correction brings her right back. We got the Roam to see if I could leave the remote in my pocket on walks and just keep her to the 25' or 75' distance depending on where we are walking. It works exactly as advertised and we couldn't be more satisfied. I do hope in future models they become more water resistant. This says you can't submerge but Goldie likes to jump in water when she sees it. Hasn't been an issue yet but that piece of mind is the only aspect of this that needs improvement in my opinion. We love the freedom this gives us and Goldie.
What a great collar! I was very apprehensive ordering this because it was such a new company. I emailed them multiple times before ordering. But I decided to bite the bullet and go for it! This has been a great company to deal with. Any issues I've had, they've responded quickly through email. My 6 month old Rat Terrier Ava is by my side everyday walking in the woods. I followed the instructions that came with the collar. I really made sure that she understood that tone and vibrate meant come back to me before introducing shock. I have shock on the lowest setting. She is doing amazing! I will definitely buy from this company again!
I bought this despite the comments of people saying they don’t “believe or trust” them. All I gotta say is that new innovative ideas gotta come from some start.
This collar works amazing for my 8 month old Grate Dane/German Shepherd mix. It took no time at all for her to be trained on what the tone and vibrate means. At first she may have thought the vibrating was bees but she realized that was just another way to tell her she’s a little too far.
On the closest setting she stays as close as one of those reel dog leashes that you can adjust the length. I would say on average 10 feet or less. If we are walking in a more open area I switch it to give her a little more space. I would say 30-40 feet before she hears the tone.
If she stays outside of her area after a few warnings it will give her a small shock to make her pay attention better. She had that happen 2x and now she won’t let it happen. I also can feel the remote vibrate when she gets the first warning. When I feel it I say HEEL and she then feels the vibrate and knows that means to come closer. Also if I need to set it on manual you can do that fast. When you first turn the collar on it also doesn’t allow it to go straight to “shock” mode. It is a setting you need to turn on. If you don’t want to use that feature then don’t.
I also need to add that I ordered the wrong size. As soon as I realized it the collar was already almost to me. I emailed Nate and within seconds he said he’s sending me the bigger collar bands and to keep them both. No charge!
Over all I’d say so far I’m a 10 out of 10 on this purchase. Give it a try if you’re on the fence. You’ll love it.
This has worked so great for us in training out new puppy. We were so worried about our puppy getting lost as our cabin is in the Daniel Boone forest so I purchased Heel to use and it has worked so well in training him to hike with us and to stay around the cabin.
I've only been working with it for one day, but I know everyone is eager for a review just like I was. So far, I am really impressed with the product. It was easy to set up and get the software update and learn how to start using it. I have only had a few training sessions, but she is already responding to the beep and vibration very well. She quickly comes when I call her, and I haven't had to shock her at all yet. I will provide more reviews as time goes one.
The collar unit was defective. It would not hold a charge for more than 5 minutes. I did use it for that short time and it appeared to work well with my dog. She was originally trained with another collar so she responded well to the tone. I did not have a chance to test the perimeter function. I did get a good response from your team and when the replacement comes I'll let you know how it is going with Alex.

Hi Maureen. I see several service tickets with conversations going. We will reach out again to try to resolve any issues you're having!
This collar is great, amazing features with one issue for me. It’s a really big collar! We tried to make i work but the size just didn’t work. I had to send it back.
Store owner replied:
Hi Jessica. Sorry you were having trouble getting your 2-dog kit to work! I see we issued you a refund under our 30-day satisfaction guarantee. 👍
I like the fact that whatever boundary you set moves with you, it's not just one stationary boundary
I don’t know that it’s the fault of the device, maybe it’s just my dog, but the response is slow and limited. She pays less attention now than she did in the beginning.
This color works well. I like the flexible nature of the distant settings and manual recall. Also the ability to turn off static correction. My dog responds well to the tone.
